Image result for medall allergyMeDALL was an international four-year research project supported by the EU FP7, which started in December 2010. The MeDALL consortium encompasses 23 public and private institutions, including 3 European SMEs whose specific complementary scientific expertise contributed to MeDALL objectives. The project was coordinated by the Institut National de la Sante et de la Recherche Medicale (INSERM), Paris, France and the Centre for Research in Environmental Epidemiology (CREAL), Barcelona, Spain.

  • MeDALL objectives:
  • A better understanding of allergic phenotypes, thus expanding the current knowledge of the genomic and environmental determinants of allergic diseases in an integrative way.
  • Novel diagnostic tools for the early diagnosis of allergy, targets for the development of novel treatment modalities and prevention of allergic diseases.
  • Improving the health of European citizens as well as increasing the competitiveness and boosting the innovative capacity of Europe, whilst addressing global health issues and ethical issues
