The 2nd EAACI/GA2LEN training course in food allergy will be held at University College Cork, Ireland, September 13th -15th 2007, delivered by the Sections of Dermatology and Paediatrics together with IG Food Allergy, EAACI. The number of participants is limited to 80. EAACI Junior members and allergists in training are particularly welcome
ContentThe aim of this course is to update clinicians and others wishing to diagnose and treat children and adults with food allergy. Theoretical lectures will be mixed with clinical cases, submitted by delegates.
General InformationThe nearest airport (Cork) is only 6 kilometres away, and is connected directly to Dublin, Amsterdam, Paris, London, Warsaw, Prague, Madrid and other major European centres.

Registration fee€280.Includes meeting fees and meals, two nights’ hotel accommodation and social programme. Extra nights of hotel accomodation before or after the meeting will be payable by the delegate.
Deadline for registrationThe 1st of August 2007. The number of participants is limited to 80 and priority will be given to delegates with abstracts accepted for the meeting.
AccommodationTwo nights hotel accommodation is included in registration. Accommodation (booked through the meeting secretariat) will be in the recently (2006) completely renovated 4 star hotel, Jurys Hotel Cork, (jurysdoyle.com), beside the river Lee and adjacent to University College Cork. 60 rooms have been reserved for delegates. Accomodation will be in a shared double room with another course participant. Breakfast is included.
Location of Academic meeting. The entire academic meeting will be in the same hotel.
Social activitiesLunches and coffee during the meeting, Reception buffet, and the Symposium Dinner on 14th September are included in the registration fee.
A wine reception and Buffet dinner will be held on the night of the 13th September in the award winning Glucksman Art Gallery in University College Cork, (http://www.glucksman.org/) which is only 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
The Symposium Dinner on the 14th September will be held in the Midleton Whisky Distillery (www.cork-guide.ie/attractions/jhc.htm), after a tour of the distillery. A display of Irish dancing will follow the dinner. Buses will be provided for transport to and from the Distillery.
GrantsA number of travel grants will be provided, which will cover the registration fee of €280. They will be awarded to 5 trainees who submit the best abstracts for the meeting.

A further prize will be awarded to the best oral presentation by a trainee, as assessed by faculty at the meeting.
