EAACI - The European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology is a non-profit organisation active in the field of allergic and immunologic diseases such as asthma, rhinitis, eczema, occupational allergy, food and drug allergy and anaphylaxis. EAACI was founded in 1956 in Florence and has become the largest medical association in Europe in the field of allergy and clinical immunology. It includes 9,000 individual members from 121 countries, as well as 49 National Allergy Societies.

EAACI Mission

The Academy shall be a non-profit organisation with a Mission to:

* Promoting basic and clinical research
* Collecting, assessing and diffusing scientific information
* Being a scientific reference body for other scientific, health and political organisations and an advocate towards political organisation and the general public
* Encouraging and providing training, continuous education and professional development
* Collaborating with patients and lay organisations in the area of allergy and clinical immunology

EAACI Vision

The Vision of the Academy is to lead the way towards better understanding, improved management and eventual cure of allergies, asthma and immunological diseases.

EAACI Congresses

Featuring extensive multi-day scientific programmes, with 7,000-8,000 international participating delegates, providing in-depth understanding and discussion within targeted medical communities on topics such as:

* Asthma
* Drug Hypersensitivity
* Pediatric Allergy
* Molecular Allergology
* Allergic Rhinitis
* Basic Immunology
* Food Allergy

EAACI Task Forces

Producing position papers on cutting-edge scientific developments and emerging knowledge on controversial and current allergy-related topics such as the effects of climate change on respiratory allergic diseases.

EAACI Allergy Schools

Training and educating Europe’s motivated young medical specialists in a highly interactive and effective social networking environment.

Continuing Medical Education (CME)

EAACI congresses and schools provide CME credits to participants. EAACI also works as an umbrella organisation for accreditation of external scientific and educational events.

EAACI Fellowships

Every year, fellowships are awarded to junior members interested in increasing their knowledge and skills at Europe’s leading scientific institutions.
