The ideaThe foundation offers the opportunity to a Junior Member of EAACI (‹35 years) to be involved in innovative pediatric research under the mentorship of a leading researcher. The fellowship will be granted for two years to allow focused research.
Aim of the initiative1. To promote excellence and stimulate competition in pediatric allergy research
2. To facilitate cross border collaboration
3. To offer opportunities for young pediatric researchers in academic centres in Europe
4. To provide the basis for academic careers in allergy
Research consortiaA minimum of two centres from two European countries is required; at least one pediatric centre should be included.
Application for fellowshipJunior Members of the academy and other pediatric researchers (‹ 35 years) who completed the MD qualification and have an intention for pediatric academic career after finishing a doctoral thesis with at least one co-authorship in international publication with impact. Applicants should be European citisens.
StipendTwo years (twice 20.000 Euro), interim evaluation after one year.
Cofunding of the host institution:The host institution will have to provide lab facilities, workplace as well as accommodation or money for this.
ApplicationFellow applicants need a letter of recommendation as well as an acceptance letter of the lead institution.
The role of a fellow, the tasks and opportunities should be defined in the application. The project should be outlined. If there are more than one applicant the CvP board will select the best applicant.
